Oh, So Eager...Am I?

The Ents came clambering over the cold earth,
On route towards towers so tall, in route.
Calling for revenge, rending their own restless hearts,
Inquiring of a wizard white, each on winding paths of power.
Their companions called to war by the calloused works of desire,
Tall trees pressed into service by time’s turning wheels,
They will find their fellows, not at Isengard, for fire consumes.
This search, empty, will find their eyes, inside history,
Stick and stones, brick and bones, the Ents can master.
Future foresight, but the world’s final days,
For Entings in the endless woods, walk no more,
And the Entwives were lost, inside of the past.
While heroism can’t last, hum-drum over clouds,
Down from the deep forest, war-drums march on.
Every humble Ent , hastily blowing each horn,
Water and wind, wonderful things, can begin again.

"I get so distracted by some people's reactions that I don't see my own faults for what they are. At times it's so self destructive, with no intent or motive, but behind this emotion, there lies a sensible heart..."
